….and sometimes bear.

The weather is fine, and sometimes bear.

If you have no clue about what I’m talking about, then you need to go here. Please enjoy! I wish I had thought of this one.

Basically, he is taking old Penny-Arcade comics and letting Japanese school kids run wild with them. Brilliant.

Sing your way to English

It’s a little bit funny…

Yesterday I arrived at Fujisawa High School to a pleasant treat. The third year English teacher placed a book of famous pop songs on my desk and asked me to pick a song. As I was looking through the listing I noticed that there were a number of nice Elton John songs. I decided to go with “Your Song!” Finally I was going to be able to teach people about how good Elton John was. Well that all collapse when the class started and we put in the CD. It seems that the company that got the license for the song was too cheap to purchase the voice…>_

What’s your name?

Today I will open with a list of the names that my students calls me in school(other then Jason)

Classes Cancelled

So it’s 10am on a thursday, and I just find out that all my classes are cancelled for the day because of exam. W00t. However, that still leaved me with having to find something to do in the staff room here. Hmm, I think i will do some more prep for my conversation class tonight, and then I will study Kanji and vocab until my head explodes. Ahhh, the life of a JET. Somedays I’m so busy I don’t have time to finish lunch, and on other days I have the entire day to do whatever I want. Funny that! But you know what? I love every second of my job!

Not Home

Just to let you all know. That from August 18 to the 24 I will be away for a conference, so I won’t be home, and might not get to answer emails. So, no I’m not dead, just busy…^_^ Cheers.

And so it begins

Today I got my Jet contract in the mail. It’s a big document. Of course, not as big as the JET handbook. It’s like 300 pages!!! It’s going to be a blast, but I must admit, I’m not sure what I’ve gotten myself into. All I know for cetain, is that in two months from now I’m going to be in Japan. My long dream realized after all these years.
