The capital of Vermont

A number of things happened during the last couple of days. I had one heck of a party with my siblings are their friends. We drank and parties until 2am. That was quite fun. We ate four different kinds of chiken wings. This was also quite fun. Except that the next morning, the wings had to come out somehow. That wasn’t so fun…:p

Today my sister and I went to Montpelier, the capital of vermont. It’s a great little tonw, and has a neat little state building. Once I find some place to host them, I’ll post of some pictures. Other then that, I only have one day left here and then I’m back to edmonton for 25 days until I’m off again to Japan. Things are going to start going quite quickly now. It’s going to be quite the ride.

Getting Drunk in….Vermont

I played this game last night with my brothers and sisters called “beirut”. It involves 15 cups of beer on each side of the table and two ping pong balls. There are two teams of people that try to throw the ping pong balls into the cups and if they get them in, then the team has to drink those cups. The first team to clear the other teams cup wins. And then the team that loses has to drink the remaining cups of beer. Let me say that it’s one of the more interesting games that I’ve ever played, and of course it got me quite drunk. I was able to win three games for my team, but was unable to walk after that. Ohh my head. Hey, I’m coming back on July 1st. Then, I’m here for 26 days and then I’m off again to Japan. This has been the busiest year ever. I can’t wait until I can get stable again. I don’t think that will be for a little while at least.

Vermont: Day 3
The heat

I would have posted this earlier but blogger decided that it wanted to upgrade me to the new interface.  So, here I am in vermont, it’s like 34C here and I’m sweating it out. My sister is coming in today, so that should be pretty good. We went to this posh restaurant last night called shore acres. The meal cost a sweet 118US dollars and it the best meal I’ve ever had. The place was right next to lake champlain(which is the 6th largest fresh water latter in North America) It was a nice 45 minute drive. Today we’re going to check out middlebury, which is where the TV show Newhart was filmed. I also picked up a sweet game at EB while I was here. It’s Dragon Warrior III and it’s awesome. I got it for 8US dollars. This thing cost 30US dollars brand new. This makes me quite happy. We also went to Denny’s for breakfast. Yum. That’s all for day 3. I will sent some day 4 stuff later today.

Vermont: Day 2
My Mother

I got to sleep in until 11am which was really nice. Then we got up and we went for lunch at Chiken Charlie’s. Not a bad little spot. Aftwerwards we then got haircuts and then went to the burlington airport to pick up my mother. Burlington has the smallest airport I’ve ever seen. Yet, 767’s and A330 fly into it on a daily basis. After that we got a nice tour of the city. I must admit, it’s really beautiful in the day time. It’s got a downtown core, but it’s spaced out and really nice. It’s like Red Deer, but good. After we picked her up we headed out to Stowe for a tour of the area. Wow, with the mountains and everything, it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. I also got to see where the Staples and the Best buy were. I know it’s lame. But it’s amazing that this place has such a small town atmosphere, yet all the stores are here and spaced out. It’s awesome. I will see if I can get pictures for you all. Anyways, I’m tired and it’s time for sleep again. Have a good night everyone.

Gin-Chan: where I’ve been, it’s been got and humid the entire time I’ve been here. No rain or anything.

Vermont: Day 1
The Trip

I wake up at 7am and get ready. James O picks me up at 7:30am and we’re off. I arrive at the airport at 8am and I’m ready to go. The plane is on time, so I board it. 3 hours and 20 minutes later I’m at pearson airport in Toronto. A familiar sight to me as I’ve been there about 8 times before. However, this time I’m catching a connector to Montreal. Something I’ve never done before. I board that plane, and then I’m off. At 5:20pm I arrive at Dorval Airport in Montreal. My brothers are there to meet me. It’s been a year since I’ve seen them last. While in Montreal we go to La belle Province for cheap food, and I get to practive my french. Not so hot. Then we head to Village des values and they look around for a little. After that, we’re on our way. It’s about 1 and a half hours to Burlington from Montreal, and we’re also about three hours away from Ottawa, three from Boston and 5 from New York. At the moment it’s 11:45 almost 12pm and I’m really tired. My first day is over. I wlll talk about day 2 tomorrow night. Have a good night everybody.

Off to see the family

Jason’s going to vermont!! He’s be there for 10 days to spend time with his family. He’s been sure to tell you about what he’s been up. Consider this a test for Japan. Which will happen later in the month. Yay!

Agent Sumisu

Ahhh. It’s agent sumisu. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.

And the winner is…..Senmaya

*****Breaking News**********

I now know where I’ll be working. I’m going to Senmaya/Fujisawa and I will be teaching in three schools. More details to come.

Fear, the mindkiller

It is all coming together now. I can see the future. I will be in Japan. I will be teaching english. I will be living out my dreams. However, there is still one question that burns in my mind. It is an attraction. An affection. A longing. While I am confident about the future, this one particular circumstance that has me unclear. I cannot see the outcome. I can’t tell whether there will be rejection or acceptance. All I know is that it feels perfect and wrong all at the same time. I wish I could place it out of my head and focus. Fear keeps me from the truth. Fear is the mindkiller. What is best for me now is to focus on my trip, and prepare. Clear the mind of such thoughts. There is no longer any time for them. But they are not easy to lose. My resolve must be strong. It will be strong.

Preparing

Good Christ. I’ve been handed contracts and visa applications and other crap. I’ve got to sign this, and read that. Get this shot and fill out that form. I guess it’s a requirement when you’re going to Japan. Also, picked up a copy of Simcity Classic today for only 1.50. Awesome. It’s like my favorite game of all time. Tomorrow is the show down between Anaheim and New Jersey. It’s now a best of 3. Let’s get ready to rock.

Here’s something I like. I hope you enjoy it as well. Pleae enjoy responsibly.
