Hey Folks! How’s life? Summer is here in Japan, and I’m not used to 40 degree days. It wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the 60-80% humidity that comes along with it. Work is okay. I’ve also agreed to play the Taiko drums during the Senmaya Festival next month. This means daily practices for the next few weeks. I don’t mind. It should be a ton of fun.
In other news, my friend Sarah is headed back to England next month. Her time on JET is done. It reminds me that living in Japan is not going to last forever. In fact, at the end of this month, I will be celebrating my first year anniversary in Japan. And since a JET participant can only stay three years, I’ve only got two left. I miss everyone back in Edmonton, and I also miss my family(currently living in the US). At the same time, I’ve been trying to carve out a life for myself here. I know it’s fleeting. It will all end soon. I haven’t decided where I will go when it’s all over. But I’ve still got some time to think about that. I still consider Edmonton to be a great place to live. Given the cheap prices for houses. Though I will ultimately go where the job are. I will have some big questions to answer, that is for certain.
Thanks again Sylvia for your Dental Advice. I will try out the things that you suggest. I’m getting my teeth attended to at the moment. I’d like to have them in my mouth when I’m 50. Until they can grow me new teeth at least.
