I do apologize about the lack of blogging. I’ve been rather busy since I returned from Golden Week. I will try to summarize what has happened since then:
1. I joined the cult of Apple by buying a Mac Mini. Then, in order to solidify my allegiance to uncle Steve, I bought an ipod Shuffle. I am terribly impressed with just how well everything works on OS X Tiger. I can’t believe that I didn’t switch before. So many wasted evenings.
2. Things are going well with school. I have been quite busy with classes and have even started helping out with an English club at my high school. I feel that usually I am underused when I am at school, so this is a nice way to contribute a little more.
3. Thanks to my Mac Mini purchase, I have started to compose my album. The plan is 12 tracks by 2006. I don’t know if that is feasible or not, but I’ll certainly give it my best effort.
4. I had a full physical on Monday and so far everything seems to be okay. I even have a lower than average blood pressure of 120/67. Many of the Japanese men I took the check-up with have blood pressures that were off the scale. They seemed rather proud of this. I guess that pride will end when their hearts explode all over their bosses when they are told they have to work yet more overtime. I stand by my statement that Japanese people have more stress and work more hours than are necessary. Oh well, c’est la vie. I’m glad they don’t expect my blood pressure to be 150/90 as well. There is a cockiness their ‘work 18 hours a day’ attitude. I just smile and wave as I take another long holiday to somewhere in South East Asia. Life is too short to waste seven days a week, working 12-16 hours a day.
I think that should bring you all up to speed. I’ll try and tackle this blog a little more often. I do enjoy writing. I just need more time to write.
